個人简介

啓明( BA., B. Fine Arts, Dip. Ed)   

 

文學書畫家。


書宗魏晋漢唐,講求入帖而出帖,追求有法而無法。畫法文人戲墨,心摹徐渭虛谷,手隨八大八怪,探求筆情墨趣,氣韻墨韻,抒發自我性靈,展現高潔個性。並以書畫為陶冶性靈,默化氣質之工具。追求品性美善,心境靈靜的境界。詩詞酷愛工部義山東坡稼軒,情境並重,言之有物。作品簡靜清麗,溫文儒雅。深受士林與大眾所愛戴與器重。

Ken Chui ( BA., B. Fine Arts, Dip. Ed)  

Ken Kai-Ming Chui is a literary calligrapher and artist. He praises highly renowned
calligraphers of the Wei, Jin, Han and Tang Dynasty. He admires prominent literary scholars and painters, Xu Wei and Xu Gu, and mimics the skills of Ba Da Shan Ren an Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou.


He studied in-depth and became proficient in brush strokes and Chinese characters form. From that, he was able to break away from the traditional form and created his own style. He practices with traditional techniques, but when conceiving his own creation, he releases the retrains of traditional forms, and takes pleasure in writing and painting which allows him to release his emotions in his works, to put across his noble deposition. He treats calligraphy and painting as materials of cultivating character and temperament, pursuing the beauty of personality and peaceful mind.


His favorite poets include Du Fu, Li Shangyin, Su Tungpo, Xin y. Weaving together the sentiment and surroundings, his poems convey a deep connotation. His works demonstrate the strength and elegance and one can feel the sense of tranquility. Chui, an elegant literary scholar and artist, is highly regarded.

His open competition awards and honorary art collections include Poetry of the Tang's Dynasty written in semi-cursive script became part of the honorary collection of the University of Toronto (2014);


Two calligraphy works became part of the Municipal Government of Toronto's honorary collection (2013);

 

two calligraphy works became part of the Government of Macau honorary collection (2013);

 

World Chinese Art and Calligraphy Exhibition (2012);

 

Poem "Mirror" written in semi-cursive script became part of Chinese Historic Museum's collection (2012);

 

Chinese painting, "Grasshopper Banana Leaf", UOIT and Durham College (2010);
